Who we are

Forget Me Not Crafts (FMNC) is a home-based personalised laser-cutting and décor studio in St Helena Bay, Western Cape, South Africa. This policy applies to information collected through our website and when you communicate with us about an order.

Information we collect

When you place an order, request a quote, contact us or use the website, we may receive information such as your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery address, order details, event dates, personalised wording, messages and other information you choose to provide.

Our website may also collect technical information such as browser/device information, IP address, cookies and website activity where required for security, shopping-cart functionality, analytics or site performance.

How we use your information

We use personal information to process and personalise orders, communicate about orders and enquiries, arrange collection or delivery, provide customer service, maintain business and accounting records, prevent fraud or misuse, improve our website and comply with legal obligations.

Information supplied for personalisation is used to produce the products you order. Please do not submit personal information that is not necessary for your order.

Payments

Online card payments are processed through Yoco. FMNC does not need to receive or store your full card details to process a Yoco payment. EFT payments are handled through your bank and the payment information supplied with your order.

Courier and service providers

Where necessary to fulfil your order, relevant information may be shared with service providers such as couriers, payment providers, website hosting or technical services. Only information reasonably required for that service should be shared.

Cookies

The FMNC website may use essential cookies for functions such as the shopping bag, checkout and site security, and may use analytics or similar technologies to understand website use. Browser settings can be used to manage cookies, although disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the shop or checkout from working correctly.

How long we keep information

Order and transaction records may be retained for accounting, tax, customer-service and legal purposes. Other personal information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or as required by law.

Protecting your information

FMNC takes reasonable steps to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure. No internet or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable South African law, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, or request deletion where we are not legally required to retain it.

Marketing communication

If FMNC sends optional marketing communication, you may ask us to stop sending it. Transactional messages needed to process or update an order are not marketing messages.

Children's information

Our products may be purchased for children, but the website and checkout are intended for customers able to place an order. Please do not submit unnecessary personal information about children.
